Hi,
I have the above board with both M2 slots occupied. I would like to try out Crossfire so presumably could just put the M2 card on a SATA adapter? How is Crossfire on this board, does it suffer with the second slot being x4? (Bit new to all this ) |

Welcome to the forums!
Yes, you will need to free up the M2_1 slot if you plan to use the PCIe 4 slot for crossfire. As for the x4 speed limiting your performance, I wouldn't worry about it. Crossfire scaling is not 100% so you won't notice much, if any, performance difference using the x4 slot for the second GPU. AMD only requires an x4 slot for it's crossfire setup to work, that should tell you all you need to know. Just don't forget your crossfire bridge |
