I just rebuilt this PC with a new ASRock x470 master sli/ac, 2600x cpu, and asus ROG rtx2060, and new pwm case fans. It has an Adata 500 ssd, corsair vengence 16gb ram, corsair RM1000w psu. It has been running fine for about 2 weeks.
I remember the first many times when my PC started I would get the ASRock name and options to enter bios/etc. But suddenly now that I want to get into bios to run pwm fan controls (just installed today) I can't get into bios, and there is no longer any display until the logon appears.
If I try to press DEL/F2/F8 or anything else, the startup HANGS indefinitely.... black screen forever. When I try to reboot from Windows 10 advanced settings/or holding shift it also hangs. Using the ASRock reboot to UEFI app also hangs.... What is going on?

From what you describe it sounds like you are entering the UEFI but the display output you are using is not the default. You can try the other outputs on your GPU and see if perhaps one of them is getting signal at POST. If that fails try Clear CMOS. Disconnect your drives then try access the UEFI again.

Thanks. I tried other outputs first but that wasn't it. removed the battery for 10min and that fixed it.

Hi,
The problem keeps coming back..
I've done it twice now (cleared CMOS), and both times the next day it was doing it again (giving black screen before logon.

I just ran Memtest86 and my screen was black for 2 hours while it did this... I was so irked that I couldn't see it's progress. I realized after it was a huge waste of time. I couldn't see any results and can't read them in the event log.
Why does this keep happening? I still have a week or so before I can't return it. But I'm about to with several issues I've been having.
