Regarding the new ABBA bios for B450 Steel legened. Am curious why did B450M get the update but not B450. And another question for ASRock: on your website, under beta bioses, if you click download it just redirects you to the motherboard page where just full release bioses are available. How can we download the beta bios?

Now my X570 Extreme4 is getting 4.4GHz with this ABBA firmware. The good thing for me is that now my idle voltages are around 1V and goes up to 1.37V with all cores in use and 1.45V with one core at maximum use. I don't know if it's my mind but I think that my temperatures as higher than before. Using all the cores I'm getting something around 80簞C with my Corsair H100i.

The BIOS updates are not betas, they are full releases. If your board does not list an ABBA BIOS version it hasn't been released yet. It usually takes a few days to a week for all boards to get their updates from what I have seen.

Afaik the B450M Steel Legend still didn't get the ABBA update, I guess they'll both get the update around the same time.

I own Asrock B450M Pro4 motherboard. I have been running it with 2nd gen Ryzen. I'm about to update to third gen (Ryzen 5 3600). I have flashed motherboard Bios to latest official version. There is no official QVL / Memory compatibility chart for Matisse (3rd gen) AMD processors.

Will the motherboard support over 3200MHz memory kits with 3rd gen Ryzen?

I have been looking this kit in particular. What do you think, will it work with the XMP specs.

If you have a 3200MHz kit, It's not worth the upgrade to 3600MHz, just my 2 cents. I don't have that motherboard to tell you if the 3600MHz memory works or not, but it should be fine.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I have an older 2400MHz set which was from my previous-previous build so I figured now is the time to upgrade. As I got a special deal with the G.Skill 3600MHz they are almost similar priced as 3200MHz so I'll get them. I'll report here how they work out once everything is here.

Then that's worth it. Good luck!

I have the B450m Steel Legend and the ABBA bios is not out yet. I'm also patiently awaiting it.

As for the other post about RAM. 3200mhz ram not on the QVL List would not enable the XMP profile, I had to manually OC to 3200 mhz. From all the research i've done, 3200mhz is the sweet spot if ONLY gaming. Anything else like productivity etc will benefit from 3600mhz. If you dont want to upgrade from 3200mhz or carrying over 3200 mhz from a previous build , then look at tightening your timings. That will benefit you more then having to buy more ram.

Lets keep this thread alive with feedback and discussions etc, I noticed the Asrock community is a bit quiet online compared to asus and gigabyte
