Hello, my friend gives me one SSD, the name is ADATA XPG SX6000 Lite.
After installing to B450M Pro4 motherboard, there is no display and detect in BIOS. Even boot into Win10 OS to check and still no M.2 SSD is detected; same as disk management page.
Please advise how to fix this problem and set in BIOS UEFI; I want to use this SSD to M2_1 ultra, another M2 slot is no work for my device only SATA type.

Thanks for the help.

Dear Adelos,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

We install ADATA SX6000 M.2 in the M2_1 slot to perform the test; it can be detected properly under the BIOS.
Please refer to our test result from below link

Regarding your symptom, we provide some suggestion for verifying.

1. Please refer to user manual to clear CMOS.

2. Please install the M.2 SSD to another system to check if it can work properly.
3. Please re-install the M.2 SSD.
4. If possible, please install another M.2 SSD to check if the M2_1 slot is broken.

Thanks!

All the best,
ASRock TSD

Hi Asrock TSD,

Since you replied here I will ask about my problem. I never got a response with support. I have a Samsung 970 Pro 512GB NVME drive. The B450M steel Legend detected the drive once and then never again. I have tried two other drives also and the board does not detect them (960 evo and Adata SX8500).

8200 Pro. Same problem. I don't think the slot is faulty for two reasons.

1. The drives have shown up a once or twice randomly when switching hardware and worked before disappearing on reboot
2. I put in a 3200G processor and it worked perfectly fine. The issue seems to be with Zen 2 processors and NVME and not Zen+. I have tried R5 3600 and now I'm using R7 3800X.

Can you please check that it works on your board. You might need to power on and off more than once to get my result. This issue has been with my board from the start.
