Yo! I am running an ASRock B450 Steel Legend (BIOS 3.20, Latest AMD Chipset too) and im having trouble running my staggered GPU set up.

I am using a 1050ti as my main display for gaming and work, and im trying to get my 750ti to work so it can power my second and third monitor for other tasks. It was previously detected in device manager once I activated hidden devices, but now it does not show up at all. Re-installed the drivers a solid 7 times during different phases of troubleshooting.

I tried re-seating the RAM, clearing CMOS, and re-seating the GPU's. The 750ti works if its left alone in the main PCIe x16 slot, but does not work in the secondary or paired with the 1050ti. I know the slot isnt dead, ive had over 15 hours of trouble shooting and testing.

The BIOS that is used in this motherboard does not have any dedicated GPU menu or tab at all, so that reduces chances of troubleshooting as well. Please do not tell me about how its probably useless to run both of these cards, I have my reasons.

What happens if you put 750Ti in the top slot, and 1050Ti in the bottom? The slots should be 8x/8x split, so it does not matter what card / slot it is for either of them. If anything, 1050Ti would even get better cooling in the bottom slot.

If I switch them, the top displays and the other does not. Managed to get the 750ti to show up in hidden devices again, but as soon as I tried to install drivers (again), it disappeared. I even tried using DDU, to no avail. And regarding cooling, both get adequate cooling in either configuration, the case is modified for a bit more airflow & fans are quality.

Try bios from 1x16 pcie to 2x8. I have to do this is order for GPU in 2nd slot to work, else no POST can't even enter bios, dr debug says error 33, 7a, 3b, b6 and loop non stop.

I must put GPU in slot 1, enter bios, change pcie from 1x16 to 2x8, shutdown, swap GPU to slot 2, then everything works.

If I clear cmos then post loop 33, 7a, 3b, b6 and must repeat the above.

It's so annoying.....

I've tried setting the slot from 1x16 to 2x8, but that didnt work either. Honestly starting to think that the board has a dead slot now. But thats kind of weird to say its dead due to the fans spinning on the card.

Hmmmm, I've been thinking "may be" 3000 series can't work GPU on slot 2. Due to limiting pcie_4 to non x570 chipset, hence slot 2 got cut off.....

but I can't explain why it worked for a few days then stopped......

It would be pretty counter-intuitive to limit the cpu like that, it should definitely allow for two slots. My previous build was an fx8350 in an msi 970 pro, and it gave me the same issues but it was always resolve-able. I just cant figure it out on here for the life of me.

With the age of the GTX 750ti and the fact it has a different architecture may have a bearing in the situation.

PCIe 4.0 should be disabled on a b450 board (locked out) but it couldn't hurt
to try and set the PCIe version to 3.0 manually in the UEFI. See if that helps.

Ive set the PCIe x16 to Gen 3, and ive set the overall configuration to 2x8. This has not changed anything. However, before I did that, I did notice that I now see two of each card in Device Manager, although the 750ti is still not functioning and is hidden. There are two 1050ti listings, with only one active. There are also two listings for the 750ti, but both are inactive. Pretty stumped on this haha

I have tried reinstalling the drivers onto the two 750ti listings through device manager, to no luck. The ways i've done this was like this:
- Search the web for drivers
- Pick drivers from a list
- Browse for drivers in computer (Which I cannot find since nvidia loves to hide their location, so this one is an incomplete process because I cant find the drivers manually).
