Z390 PRO4 won't boot/post/go into bios

   Hi all, I hope you are well.
I recently moved my I7-8700K and some ram to my new Z390 PRO4 motherboard and I am unable to boot/post. The new fan/heatsink on the I7 comes on and also the fan on my graphics card runs fine.  Also, I managed to put in the power button correctly... so I press the button, fans work but nothing else does.

I started out with my M2 SSD in there and my GTX 1660 graphics card and ended up removing those and one of the sticks of ram hoping that would fix things.
I had read the forums, so I cleared  the CMOS once hoping that would fix it but no luck.

Both CPU and the ram come from a DELL XPS 8930, would that break things?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

	Dear ComGaunt, Thanks for posting your query to the ASRock forum. For your question, kindly reinstall the CPU and install one RAM to different slots to see if it will work. IF the problem persists, please try with a different RAM. Also, FYR, please refer to the following link to check which of the BIOS version are required for the system to boot up with the CPU. https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z390%20Pro4/index.asp#CPU And don't worry, installing the RAM from DELL XPS 8930 will not break anything. 	Hi Asrock peeps, I had forgotten about the CPU power supply which messed me up. However, your Z390 board WAS bad.. Once I realized I had forgotten the CPU power, I did some more testing and found that an ASROCK 370 board I had also purchased was fine. The Z390 board was bad. Anyway, I am sending the Z390 board back... and the Z370 board is in my nice big case running fine. When I boot sometimes the keyboard/mouse plugged in the back dont get power and the CPU lighting stays on, even when I turned the power off.

	Dear ComGaunt, Thanks for the reply and sorry to hear about the Z390 you received was faulty. FYI The USB light can be turned off via the BIOS deep sleep setting under the following path. BIOS\Advanced\MB Configuration\Deep Sleep\Enabled in S4-S5 With thanks, ASRock TSD
