   I've installed an NVMe SSD into the Ultra M.2 slot of my B450M Steel Legend. However, it is not detected when in Bios/UEFI, and Drive Manager / Disk Management could not find it. Is there some issue that I should be keeping an eye out for?

My Specs are

B450M Steel Legend
Ryzen 5 1600, stock cooler
500gb Samsung 860 EVO SSD, 1TB Toshiba HDD
Corsair Vengeance 16gb DDR4 2400Mhz
Win 10 x64 Pro
MSI GTX 1060 OCV1 6GB
BIOS P2.90
ThermalTake Smart RGB Series 600W
ThermtalTake Lvl 20 MT ARGB

The M.2 NVME SSD that I've inserted into the ULTRA M.2 Slot is ADATA Spectrix S40G 1TB RGB NVME. Prior to buying, I've checked on PCPartPicker and it showed that it has no issues with compatibility.

So initially after I've bought and inserted the M.2 NVME SSD, it seems that Disk Management was able to read it and made it into a drive. However, 3 weeks later, after a change of computer casing, without removing the M.2 SSD from the Ultra M.2 slot, the entire drive has disappeared and Windows/BIOS has not been able to detect it since.

From the motherboard manual, it seems that only M2_2 wouldn't be able to be used if SATA3_3 is in use. However, the only SATA ports that I've used are S3_1 and S3_2. And that my M.2 NVME is inserted in M2_1.

Has anyone out here faced the same issue, and could anyone please advise if a solution has been found.

	so it worked prior to moving components into a different case .. ? Have you tried removing everything from current case and boot up components outside of your case and see if it is detected again? If you were not utilizing a grounding strap or at least touch some metal to discharge any built up static electricity prior to touching your components .. there is a chance you might have inadvertently "zapped" your drive and killed it. You can also try unplugging everything but bare essentials to get a display leaving the m.2 drive in and boot up and see if it re-appears .. try reseating the drive as well.. if you have the resources, you can try the nvme drive in another PC and see if it's detected. If after all that the drive still ins't detectable, if it's still under warranty you can return for new one.

	Well, weirdly enough, yes, it was working before I moved the components into a different case. I did not remove everything from it's current case and try booting them to see if it was detected. I was moving everything on a anti-static mat, so I highly doubt that any static would have been present to fry the drive. I've also been advised by ASRock Tech supp to do the same things that you've suggested. What I was told to do was to leave 1 ram stick, plug in the PSU, CPU, GPU, and the NVME. The results are still the same, where the BIOS does not pick up the NVME. Luckily for me, I do have a spare board, and I'm currently using it while I wait for the date to RMA. While using the NVME on the spare board, there aren't any issues with the NVME SSD. ASRock Tech Supp also mentioned that the issue that I'm having is pretty common by B450M Steel Legend users and NVMEs of other brands.
