I've just tried to overclock my HyperX Predator 2x16Gb 3200Mhz RAM, and it seems that it run 3733Mhz easily with no errors. Nice!

Hello @Luke108,
Yes, many, see https://www.overclock.net/forum/11-amd-motherboards/1627407-asrock-x370-taichi-overclocking-thread-796.html in the last 10 pages or so. |

Hi again.
I have bought R9 5900X for my X470 Taichi. Still hasn't been installed. Is there any person who successfully installed RAM 3800 Mhz on that board with that Zen 3? My current RAM is 3200 Mhz and wondering if I should experiment. |

zen2 isnt hard to hit 3600 easily with your board and a decent ram brand
seeing as NO-ONE has a zen3 we cant tell you as xalter has said lots of people can set 3733+ with zen2 and decent ram and a little skill/education i dont think with maybe the second or third bios release to suit the x470 chipset and a zen3 that it will be hard for 3733+ myself but its still an unknown isnt it p.s. maximum infinity can also be higher if you manually force 1:1:1 settings |

Thanks for reply.
So you suggest that X470 Taichi motherboard can handle faster than 3466Mhz memory kits. I'm aware that for my Ryzen 1700 3200Mhz is a max and I even don;t wanna try anything more. But theoretically Zen 2 has sweet spot on 3733Mhz (maximum infinity fabric sync mode) so Zen 3 should also have that option, even more. Can anyone confirm that work with faster kit on X470 Taichi? Thanks Lukas |

It will be largely dependent on the CPU's IMC. I can't say with 100% certainty that
you will be able to hit 3733 but there are quite a few people that have, even as far as 4000. The problem is, often times, even if someone else went out and picked up the exact same CPU, board and RAM they often can't match it. Like I said, it all comes down to the quality of the IMC on the CPU. BIOS versions can help but are not the main factor. |

Hi
I'm on X470 Taichi motherboard. For now I have installed Ryzen 1700 OC, but I'm waiting for Zen 3 and info about new beta BIOS from Asrock. With new CPU I would like to upgrade my HyperX Predator 3200Mhz memory to 3733Mhz or faster (depends on Inifinity Fabric optimal freq for synchronized mode in Zen 3) Is it possible to install on that motherboard memory faster than 3466? In manual is written 3466+ OC - what exactly does that "plus" mean? Thanks for help Lukas |
