Gen3 x16 cable to Gen4 x8 slot

   Hi,

I'm looking to buy a TRX40 Creator mobo but have a question regarding mixing PCIe Gen3 and Gen4. Basically, due to power constraints, one GPU (Gen4) will be plugged into a Gen3 x16 power isolation riser. This riser will then plug into one of the Gen4 x8 slots on the board.

My question is whether the Creator BIOS allows setting Gen3 or Gen4 at the slot level or whether I even have to worry about doing anything since Gen3 x16 speed is basically Gen4 x8 speed anyways?
