Greetings,
I built up an ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 with a Ryzen 5 5600G APU. I initially updated the BIOS to version 2.10, with a Ryzen 9 3900X installed, then fitted the 5600G APU. I installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 on a Samsung 850-series SATA SSD.
The problem is the system won't restart with a software command: I must press the RESET button. An example: during Windows installation, the system will restart several times. Windows shuts down, the system attempts to restart, but the first two diagnostic LEDs (CPU & DRAM) come on, and nothing further happens until I press RESET. Then it'll restart. It even needs a RESET sometimes upon power on. Once it starts, everything works fine.
I tried the 3900X & a GPU, and it restarts OK. I tried a different ASRock B550 PG4, and it does the same thing. If I put the 5600G in a different brand motherboard, I don't have the restart issue.
Any ideas?

Turned out the APU had issues.
All better with a different 5600G.
