Had to move the drive at SATA3_0 anyway because it was the boot drive.
Still the M.2 drive wasn't detected. Removed the M.2 drive and reinserted like the first time, but this time it was recognized. Just in case, loaded UEFI default values. Some recommend disabling CSM, but in the past it caused graphics issues on boot with a new graphics card. Will try again. |

To avoid conflicts removed the drive at SATA3_0 to SATA3_1.
But the system still can detect the new M.2 drive at M.2_1. |

Bought this SSD because the model appears in the Ultra M.2_SSD (NGFF) Module Support List:
WD 500GB SATA3 2280 WDS500G2B0B-00YS70 This MOBO has x2 M.2 slots, but only M.2_1 accepts SATA modules. In the UEFI BIOS the M.2_1 slot appears as "Not detected". Slots SATA3_0, SATA3_1, and SATA3_3 are occupied, but the M.2 drive will replace the drive in SATA3_1. According to the manual the M.2 SATA drive goes into the M.2_1 slot and there are no issues with the other three SATA3 drives, except for SATA3_0. Only card is the graphics card at PCIe slot. |
