x570 Phantom Gaming 4 nvme expansion card issue

   When I try to use a pci expansion card to add a 3rd nvme slot to the PG4 board it disables the LAN port no matter what pci slot I try.  My GPU is in the top slot close to the CPU, nothing else in any other slot.  I have bios 4.2 installed.  Does this board support doing this and how do I enable it if it does?
