Hello ladies and gentleman,

I send and request for some bios fixes and ROM updates to the ASRock support. That was at the 21 of January 2016.

I mentioned this thread:

http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1135&title=extreme9-bios-bugs-in-170

because I am a owner of 990FX E9 and I would like to get an official updated BIOS with up2date ROM´s. If they could also fix the known bugs about the LLC it would be great, but just no answer is no option.

So I guess they dont care about this product anymore and set it to support EOL. If that is the case I will sell mine and switch to another brand.

Little hint, even Biostar answers faster.....and yeah I know its UEFI not Bios ;)

With best regards.

ASRock are celebrating Chinese New Year at present and have been since the 6th. They will be back to full functionality on the 15th.

Even then that is a long time to wait. I would just keep sending requests every few days till they respond. The problem is that the Skylake Sky OC issue as well as a few other recent developments like the Skylake Prime bug have likely had them very busy. That is not an excuse mind you but it does explain the slow turnaround.

Usually ASRock tech support is fairly prompt and are particularly good with UEFI requests. I doubt very much that they no longer care about the product as I have frequently seen BIOS updates and fixes provided by tech support for significantly older products.

I would try again after the 14th. I am sure they will get back to you more promptly once they return to their normal work schedule.

In the past I only had good experiences with ASR TSD but this is just bad. I will send the request again on monday.

Atleast they could do an up2date Bios with actuall rom files.......even Gigabyte can do that for the AMD Boards ;)

Little hint, Gigabyte BIOSes are the worst I've had the misfortune of working with. Anytime a customer calls wanting a build with a Gigabyte board I steer them immediately away.

Gigabyte Users, IMO, and nicely, are nothing but BIOS chasing Guinea Pigs, always looking for that one that is stable on their own system.

ASRock is on a Country wide vacation. I own an EX9 too but knowing how LLC responds I work around it. ROMs aren't the be all nor end all concerning performance. True. It'd be nice though. But my guess is all or most of their attention is now focused towards Zen.

Zen v Intel = Zen

The Zen market is as hot as I've seen a market be, in recent memory.

Well u can asked them in the german forum and they deliver updated ROMs in updates Bios files even if they call it beta ;)

The GB Bios usually is crap and I am aware of it, to many things are flawed but in this case they are ahead of ASRock.

I would like to stick to my E9 but I will probably sell it and switch the brand.

I also waiting for Zen, like many others I guess, but it is still some "short" time till AM4 boards.
