I just got home form a kidney transplant i have been fighting this board since the day of release and I purchased it it has crashed and froze so many times that i had given up on my PC. Being a former dialysis penitent there wasn't much in life to give me joy besides staying alive for my wife and getting stuck with 3x a week with 2x 16 gauge needles to keep myself alive and dealing with all the fun complications of kidney failure since may 2019.
So Asrock are you going to finally release a stable bios that fixes issues this board is having as more unstable than a dingy in category 5 hurricane Some examples of the issues follows https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/ggkvky/x570_extreme4_post_issues/ https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/dk27jy/x570_extreme4_not_booting_anymore/ https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/lzr8j6/x570_extreme4_problem/ https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/kbhq4z/x570_extreme4/ https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/hiw25y/asrock_x570_extreme_4_causes_catastrophic_windows/ https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/k1jnhn/updating_extreme4_x570_bios_using_zen_not_working/ Finally an Amazon review 1.0 out of 5 stars Not ready for prime time Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2019 Verified Purchase I have been building computers since windows 98 1st came out so I am no newbie here . I build AMD and Intel systems even a old slot a , the 1st 1 GHz CPU ever made , on a old epox MB so I am no stranger to setting up a bios . But this Asrock board is buggier then a truck load of June bugs . Will not corectly hold user voltage settings even with the latest 2.2 bios . Keyboard numbers light stays light when system powered off . Oh and do not enable deep sleep on S5 or on shut down you will have to disconnect the power to get it to boot . Memory support is a joke running Samsung b-die the board cant figure out even the basic memory setting programed into the SPD therefor your running like a snail . Oh and the " Asrock Armor " Lets get into that , look closely at the large piece that sits over the chipset fan . That is a huge heatsink that covers the chip set fan and all the M.2 slots , it is held in place by 3 screws . Problem is ANY 2 slot vid card is going to cover the heat sink for the M.2 slots meaning if you want quick access to a M.2 slot you are going to have to remove Your vid card . And then their is the chip set fan itself a cheesy , cheep , and noisy fan that is worthless for cooling seeing 65 deg + temps And finally their is the fan controller for the CPU . This board burned out a high end Noctua industrial quality fan that I had on my liquid CPU cooler . This was no cheep fan I have used a dozen or so Asrock boards but this one RUN , Run far away from look elsewhere |
