Hi, recently setup my system with Win10 Pro and installed latest drivers . System is rebooting every +/-90 minutes with the same BSOD . Put link for minidumps and screenshot of Bios with Sys Info . Any help or comment would be greatly appreciated. As mentioned below, the memtest was passed with no issues.

DaveM121 in the Microsoft forum notified me "iaStorAC.sys that is causing the crashes" so I investigated further
As per documentation from Intel on the current latest RTS Version 18.6.1.1016 - Release_Notes_18_6_1_1016_enduser_PV.pdf ID: 18014648066 Title: [IntelĀ® Optane??Memory H10]: 'BSOD 0x9F' /system hang up intermittently when run Restart, Standby, and Hibernate Stress with IntelĀ® Optane??Memory H10 Operating System: windows.20h2_vibranium.x64 Component: Driver I'm currently still on Win10 20h2 18.6.1.1016 is my current RTS driver version and I had not yet updated Win10 to 21H2 Running Update Now and will test |

I should mention the RTS driver on the Asrock B460 Pro4 driver page also happens to be version 18.6.1.1016 so it's the latest already.
I noticed the Asrock driver page specifically shows 18.6.1.1016.1_21H2 which I hadn't noticed (21H2) but now I see the hint they gave. Updated Win10 to 21H2 and everything is so far so good. |

Sadly, BSOD persists
I think perhaps the order in which I installed the latest driver before win update may have effected something. Not gonna fight an uphill battle here. I may just move forward with Win10 reinstall and will be more careful about the order. If the issue remains after that I will have to give up. Worth noting that this mobo replaced the previous B460M Pro4 Mobo after I had a failed i3 CPU that I'm quite sure was damaged by the mobo itself. Fortunately both were replaced under warranty. I specifically stuck with Intel as this Optane tech interests me and I wanted to test the possibilities with acceleration on conventional HDDs against the better advice of experienced tech folk . I do find it impressive when it works. Don't wanna blame intel, it may still be Asrock somehow. Regardless, after the effort I have put in, I see the window of my patience closing. I'll post an update when ready, but my advice to other users would still be to avoid Optane acceleration if you really plan to depend on it. Possibly also watch out with Asrock, I find their RMA procedures leave something to be desired. |

Contacted Intel support directly and discussed the issue via chat.
They pointed out that the documentation I was referring to indicated a different model, specifically "Optane??Memory H10", but it stands to reason the overlap of the same error is no coincidence. A ticket is now open with them and I'll provide an update here ASAP Optane Memory Model: MEMPEK1W032GAXT (Boxed version hence no custom firmware according to Intel) For now I am motivated to perform the full win re-install, 21H2 windows update (with basic drivers installed of course), followed by full driver updates . If that resolves the issue then good, if not then regardless of any fix intel support offers, I will walk away from any hope of depending on the Optane acceleration in my work environment . Would be nice to see it operating without error. Fascinating piece of technology. I'm still glad my Optane is under warranty and I'll find a use for it. |
