I'd ask ASRock.
Sounds like a bug in the BIOS.

I have a B660M steel legend. When I plug devices into SATA3_A1 or SATA3_A2, the BIOS shows no devices. It's BIOS 8.02. If I run Windows 10, it shows the devices fine and they work properly.

Aside from the obvious pita of not knowing that the ports work when I built it, I couldn't boot from devices plugged into them either. Is there any way to fix this, or do I have to swap out the connectors for any devices I want to be bootable?
