hello everyone,
finaly want to build my own NAS with 4 HDDs (4x 2TB with Raid5 which should give me a nice 6TB storage). For the system (TrueNAS) of course a SSD. So I was thinking of the ASRock J4125-ITX, but it seems I can not connect a SSD on the M.2 (E-Key) port?!! - Is that right? - only for WiFi/BT?! alternative can I use the PCIe port? Actually this was planned for a 2.5Gbit Lan upgrade late.. but optional. Any - cheap - alternative board possible? I've seen some page where this board is recomended as a fairly cheap MB for a NAS as it is very engery-efficient. Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks Wakonda |

OK - I found this post:
https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?FID=11&TID=17295&PN=1 where the solution could be a converter from the internal USB3.0 port (19-pin) to a SATA port for the SSD. Anyone can confirm this? Alternate solutions? br Wakonda |
