    Posted: 20 Feb 2023 at 11:48pm
Hello, i have build myself a new system with the following components:

- Ryzen 9 7950x
- asrock x670e PG Lightning
- 2x 32gb Kingston fury beast (5600 mhz)
- rx570 8gb
- 850w PSU from bequiet

The problem is that i get kernel panics (with linux) and bluescreens (with windows) on every boot if i dont disable "global cstate control" or boot with "processor.max_cstate=1" or "acpi=off" as kernel parameter.

I already tried different BIOS versions (including the beta ones, currently on 1.14.AS06) but to no success.

I am currently on Gentoo Linux with the 6.1.2 Kernel (updating to 6.2 atm) and amducode/microcode_amd_fam19h.bin compiled into the kernel.

Any ideas what the cause of this issue could be?

Tried to install Windows 10 on a spare drive, same result, windows will only boot with cstate support disabled (even with all drivers installed)

New BIOS was just released, I would try that first, as well as re-seating CPU, testing each stick of RAM individually, but if that does nothing then ya, RMA time.
