I just setup a new system with these specs:
i7 13700 (non k) 128 GB DDR4 3200mhz RAM 4070ti Asrock B760m Mobo Samsung 980pro evo SSD Thermaltake peerless Assassin Air Cooler However after enabling xmp in the settings windows task manager still displays RAM speed at 2133mhz is there something I am missing? is this mobo not capable of using the 3200 clock speeds? |

The memory controller is integrated in the CPU, and should run optimal at 3200MHz with DDR4
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/230490/intel-core-i713700-processor-30m-cache-up-to-5-20-ghz.html So, it is not so much a baord issue, as a CPU/memory issue. XMP is overclocking for beginners ( I don't want to say Dummies), and is not guaranteed to work,. In this case I would go for another brand like Patriot Viper, usually their XMP profiles are spot on. Also the memory speed is lower, when 4 slots are all in use, with 2 modules, Usually it is higher |
