We just purchased a few ASRock IMB-X1712 motherboards and we installed 2 sticks of the following DDR4 RAM into slots A2 and B2 as indicated in the MB manual:
G.Skill Trident Z NEO Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM PC4-28800 DDR4 3600 CL18-22-22-42 1.35V Dual Channel Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-64GTZN The motherboard issues series of 3 short beeps when powered up, which seems to indicate memory error. When only one stick is installed, there's not a pip that comes out, but display remains black. Other components: Intel core i9 13900K Samsung 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 SSD Is the above memory compatible with IMB-X1712 and, if not, what memory is recommended for dual channel 2x32 GB ? Anything else that can be wrong? |

You will have to ask ASRock for a RAM QVL for that board, I don't see one on the product page. I suspect 32gb (per module) may only work with ECC modules but I can't say for certain. |

Thank you for the suggestion Xaltar. I tried the link you provided, but form would not accept IMB-X1712 part number.
I found another form at https://www.asrockind.com/en-gb/technical-support and summited our problem there. I hope I could get a reply. |
