Hello,
I have installed a new processor, Ryzen 5900x, and updated my bios to the latest version. I didn't connect the audio jack to the back panel while doing the update, and now I'm unable to get any audio in Windows. The audio works when I turn on my computer, and there's the welcome sound from the speakers. This is what I have done so far: -I have updated the chipset drivers from Asrock/AMD. -I have uninstalled the audio drivers, rebooted, installed the Asrock audio drivers rebooted again, and it didn't help. -I have checked if the sound was disabled in bios (it's enabled). I have disabled and rebooted, enabled it again, and rebooted. Didn't fix it. -Updated bios again, this time with the audio jack plugged in. Didn't fix it. I have tried so many things without success that today I decided to install a cleaned version of Windows, hoping it would help, but unfortunately, it didn't. Before the new processor, the audio was working fine. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I'm completely lost. |
