Hi

MB: 370 Fatal1ty Gaming4
BIOS: 7.3 - upgraded successfully from 3.5.
RAM: 16GB DDR4 2133
CPU: Ryzen 1700 - trying to upgrade to Ryzen 5 5600

Stable system, on V3.5 BIOS.
Updated BIOS through to 7.3. All files available, took the highest one offered each time.
Set defaults on BIOS.
Installed new CPU. Failed to POST.
Checked web, found advice to turn off fTPM.
Re,installed Ryzen 1700. Boot into Windows 10 successful.
Turned off fTPM.
Boot successful.
Changed CPU to Ryzen 5 5600 (New boxed)
Get loop - with CMOS Debug flashes codes:33, 43, 7A, 60, 66 (power cycles after 66 code)
Pressed the CMOS reset button. No improvement.
Any advice gladly received.
Balding eagle.

if it powercycles, then your ram is not compatible with your new CPU.
try with single stick in A2 slot

btw x370 G4 was very shortly EOL with gaming X as replacement due to ram signaling issues

Thanks - I thought that may be the problem.
I do have a single 16GB DIMM - tried Slot 1 and in Slot 2.
So - assume I have to change it.
Any advice on specification for the RAM?

Should mention I have a single Kingston Fury HyperX DDR4 HX421C14FB/16 DIMM installed in A2.
But I can't seem to find a timing that works for the 5600.
