Dual Audio Outputs

I haven't played with this at all as I always use analogue outputs for my sound setups but I would guess that the Speaker output (analogue) is overriding the HDMI output. These are 2 separate outputs I am not sure you can have sound play through both without some kind of pass-through cable or software. If you look at the way Windows sound is set up you can only select one output as default and there does not appear to be an option to "clone"  one output to another. 

It's because HDMI is HDCP Compliant. ie: a compliant player will disable the analog signal when both are attached.

You can try to "skirt' this by using the TV's Audio Out RCAs or 3.5mm located at the rear of the TV to feed the stereo. I've done this myself many times at many places.

As you may have seen, in the Windows Sound settings in Control Panel, you are allowed to select one default audio device. Which is what makes it difficult or impossible to configure multiple audio devices at the same time. Or have you configured your audio in a different way?

I HAVE AT TIMES MANAGED TO DEFINE MY ARRANGEMENT AS QUADROPHONIC WHICH BRING UP  4 SPEAKERS IN THE SOUND CONFIGURATION WINDOWS. CLICKING THE TEST BUTTON GETS A TEST CHIME TO PLAY FROM EACH OF THE SPEAKERS SHOWN ONE AFTER THE OTHER. BUT WHEN I START MCE AND PLAY MUSIC I ONLY GET AUDIO FROM THE 3.5MM JACK - THE HDMI IS SILENT.  

Not a lot of details about the hardware being used. You mentioned the HDMI output to your TV, is that on the board's IO panel? Or from a video card?

Which also brings us to the video source. Is that the Intel iGPU, or video card?

You mentioned the Realtek audio, but the Intel iGPU output has its own audio source. Not to mention potential audio signals from a video card. The question is which one are you using?

Does your stereo only have analog inputs? No digital input or decoding of a SPDIF digital signal via a TOSLINK connection?

ONLY ANALOG - I HAVE THOUGHT OF BUYING A SPDIF TO ANALOGUE CONVERTER AND MAY END UP DOING THIS IF I CANNOT SOLVE ISSUE ( MY PREVIOUS HPTC DID ALLOW THIS FEATURE BUT IT WAS HDMI1.2)

I HAVE SEEN MENTION ON THE ASROCK SITE OF MIXER TOOL WHICH IS ALLEGED TO ENABLE MULTIPLE STREAMS OF AUDIO BUT I DO NOT HAVE MIXER TOOL??

In the standard configuration, you get one audio device output at a time, that's how Windows works.

You can get your audio to the stereo/four speaker system, right? But you then lose it to the TV via HDMI, correct?

You must have two to four cables from the IO panel to your stereo, to get four individual speakers testing as you described, correct? Or are you just using the speaker A and B connections on your amplifier?

If that is right, on the IO panel you must be using the front L and R, and rear L and R outputs, right?

Since I don't have your board, or really the same version audio software (Realtek) that you have, I cannot give you a click by click description of what to do.

I suggest connecting your speakers to the front panel audio speaker outputs, and then checking the configuration options in both the Realtek and Windows Sound setting. Hopefully you'll find the allow multiple audio streams option.

The trick likely is having a connection to the front panel audio output, which will then allow the different audio streams option to be available. The "different audio streams" part may not be what you want, if that means multiple audio signal sources, which is not what you want.

You'll need to play with configurations once the connections to the front panel are done.

This gave me dual audio but slightly out of sync - has promise though
