Welcome to the board, and please don't think I'm being rude.

Who sells this and can you post the model number, never heard of one.

You don't update drivers unless there are problems.

Hardware like Sata RAID, USB,  is the only time where you see gains from new drivers ROM's. And you can also see loss from them too.  As for Lan, usually they are faster than any ISP can give you.  USB can also have some small gains or loss.

INF is only a file that tells the hardware  to identify itself,  they are not needed like the chipset driver, the INF is useless.

Usually the Motherboard MGF will post the most stable drivers, when you start running new or beta, you can run into problems, so for most of the public, they don't want people to have problems so they stay with older drivers.

Audio drivers will never yield  better sound. The software can.

Unless you connect remotely to your PC for IT purposes, there is no reason to install the IME driver.

If you know what your doing and you want to try the newest driver, you go to the MFG of the hardware and get the drivers.

Basically,  how do you know which ones,  you have problems, or the hardware is not running at spec.

The best way, it depends on if the driver was installed along with it's utility/ software. If not you use device MGR to update a driver.

There are means to check hardware with windows, and third party software benching.

Example - Sata has tons of software for benching, Anvil, ASSSD,  HD Tune.

If you know what your ISP provides you with speed,  you can test that speed,  you won't be testing the hardware for it's MAX speed, but if you don't get what you pay for, for speed, you'll know you have a problem, either with the ISP or your hardware.

Here is just one place for testing your Lan speed.

How should one approach updating drivers for their motherboard (basically all of the vital drivers
that come with the MOBO on CD/DVD for audio, INF, LAN, Management Engine, SATA and USB)
How do you learn which ones need to be updated/upgraded and what is the best way to do so?
