Let me repeat, I've already created a bootable usb drive, and I've also said that any attempt to run the BIOS executable fails. Booting into prompt via USB isn't the problem, it's just that the supplied exe won't...well, execute. Used rufus, even resorted to Win10's Media Creation Tool, in the hope that would make the difference. Win 7, 10, 32-bit, 64-bit, makes no difference.

i agree in 2017 updating the bios with old age dos is pretty shameful however
moaning about it wont get it done so then using windows download the bios file labelled DOS google/search for a program called rufus and create a bootable usb drive follow the instructions on asrock or on here to create the extracted files onto usb reboot with either the usb set as primary boot device or unplug the hard drive and it will use the usb as a boot drive run the dos setup/bios flasher |

Hi everyone,
I have an X370 Killer SLI, currently running BIOS v1.3. Updating my BIOS seems to be an insurmountable challenge: 1. BIOS update is impossible, as BIOS v1.3 does not allow me to update via Instant Flash. 2. DOS method - The supplied .exe does not run: a. 'Unsupported 16-bit application' when I run the exe under Windows 10 cmd with administrative access b. USB thumb drive bootable drive (Win 10) gives me something along the lines of 'incompatible system' c. Rebuilt a 32-bit bootable Win 10, exe refuses to run as well. Downloaded the right BIOS (v2.3) for the right board, so it's not like I got the wrong file. Is anyone able to help me figure out how to update my BIOS? Asrock, updating my BIOS shouldn't be this hard.
