Nah, no problems like that. It really seems like I have a different BIOS somehow, despite apparently having the correct one.

If it comes down to it I figured a clrcmos was the last thing to try. That just resets it to the stock way it was when I got it, correct? I don't have to do anything crazy like reinstall my OS or GPU or anything?

I just noticed this earlier response. Have you done the CLR CMOS procedure, including removing the board's battery? Yes, that would be the last thing to do, and doing this does not hurt anything, or cause you to reinstall Windows.

I use the CLR CMOS jumper all the time, you should do it every time you change hardware, or even move it around to a different SATA port, PCIe slot, memory slot, etc. A super basic thing that is no big deal to deal with afterwards. You can save your UEFI/BIOS settings in a profile first, to restore them with a few clicks of the mouse. Otherwise it just sets every option in the UEFI to its default setting.

Every time you install/update the UEFI, it is equivalent to a CLR CMOS procedure, EXCEPT for the removal of the battery. Removing the battery also clears the NVRAM in the UEFI/BIOS chip, the only way to erase it. If you don't do this, you cannot say you've tried everything, I am sorry to say.

Just for my information, what UEFI/BIOS version came with the board? It is printed on a sticker that is on the UEFI/BIOS chip. This chip is just below the first PCIe x16 slot, just to the right of "SLI" printed on the board. Most likely covered by your video card. Ouch

I suggested an RMA because IMO, after all the things you've done, there's nothing else to do that will cause the LLC option to appear. Frankly it is more than that, you don't have the same Vcore option as we do, LLC is secondary to the CPU Vcore Voltage option. That is the main option that is missing. I would be surprised if an X370 board did not have an LLC option in the UEFI, even a cheaper model, which this board is not of that kind.

I did indeed remove the battery, 24 pin connector, power cable from the rear of the PSU, and swapped the jumper, left it that way for 10 minutes.

My board says P2.40 - I took pictures of everything as I was putting it together.

I understand how beneficial LLC is, I utilized it on my old board with my A10-6800k to push my OC. It's a bummer I don't have it, but I really don't think it would have anything to do with the board itself, I mean it could plausibly but it's just weird that I have different and additional settings, not just a lack of them.

And as I said before, there are other people that have the same BIOS options/lack there of as I do. I'm curious as to why. Newer boards maybe? Corners cut to keep up with demand?
If I say I know what I'm doing, will you believe me?

Hippie, do you want to try Bios version 2.3? I can upload it somewhere.

It's what I am using and can confirm LLC is in my Bios. I'm about to move up to 2.5 to see if I can run 3200 on my ram finally.

I have the same issue with my Newegg sourced Killer sli/ac. I have a R7 1700, I did not have LLC on 2.40 either which the board came with. I am using a EVGA 1070 so it has nothing to do with having a Sapphire GPU. Tried resetting defaults, flashing, and resetting again to no avail.

My board was also ordered from Newegg and I have LLC.

You could if you want, but Wardog has this board on the newest BIOS and has LLC settings.

I tried 2.5, but reverted back to 2.3. V2.5 slowed my ram speeds down.

Hippie, I have to ask. What's the PSU you're using and how old is it?

Hippie, call the below number, tell them of this issue, and initiate an RMA.

When you do the RMA, send ONLY the motherboard. No nothing else, just the mb in a suitably sized box and well packaged inside.

Before sending it though, check over the CPU for bent/missing pins. It'd be a waste of time to RMA when the CPU may be the culprit.

Wardog, thanks for the number man, I'll keep that in mind if I end up RMA'ing. But again, like I've said, I CAN NOT be without my computer even for two days so I'm most likely NOT going to RMA it.

Power supply was just purchased a few months ago, Corsair Cx550M (updated version) 550w semi modular PSU.

I literally JUST redid my cooler about a week ago and didn't see any bad pins. I feel like I'd have additional problems with my computer if I had bent CPU pins.

I was just reading through the reviews on Newegg, apparently it WAS bios 2.4 that took LLC settings away from some users, and that's the BIOS my board shipped with. I'm going to see what 2.3 looks like/does to the board and see what's what.

I will get to the bottom of this. It has to just be a software thing, because if it was hardware I'd be having additional problems.

Thanks for the BIOS file Rhino, I'm gonna give it a shot.
