I assume you are asking because Threadripper processors provide PCIe 3.0 lanes, not PCIe 2.0. PCIe 3.0 is backward compatible with all the earlier PCIe versions, so you can use your video card in the PCIe 3.0 x 16 PCIE4 slot. The UEFI/BIOS may have an option to set the PCIe version from PCIe 3.0 (Gen3) to PCIe 2.0 (Gen2) in future versions, although I don't see those options in the manual now. |
