Asrock x399 Taichi, XMP and IOMMU

Last thing I can try, so A1/B1/C1/D1 boots as quad channel, however, hardware reserve shoots back up to 8gb and the ram will not post at 3200, only 2133. 

So, looks like there is an issue with my motherboards A ram slots. 

Going to look into a RMA of the motherboard.  I like this board enough and was very easy to work with.  Hopefully the RMA goes well, if so I will be sticking with ASRock.

Actually, one question before I really dive into this process:
Would this be an issue with mobo or with my TR chip?  I believe the memory controller is on the TR chip and could that be the issue and not the mobo itself?

Scratch that, got XMP3200 to work with 2 sticks in D2/C2.  Timings of 16/16/16/16/38/54.  Going to try with 4 sticks next. 

Also with the 2 sticks in D2/C2, there was no hardware reserve being used by windows. Well 120MB, is being used.

yes may i offer some info

try to get the goal first ,then try to tighten it up more
e.g.

click xmp 3200

now scroll down and set the SOC volts to 1.15 fixed
set the soc llc to level 1

next set the dram volts to 1.375 volts

now enter the dram timings section and manually change the cl14 timings to
16/16/16/16/35/50

save exit and see how it handles that

(it might also help while trying to find out what the heck the systems dosnt like about the ram to REMOVE the cpu overclock for the moment, just to simplify whats the issue with ram speed)

the idea/plan is to get the very nice rams to play at 3200 first then we can start to adjust things back down one at a time to get as close to how it would be in an ideal world
