The new BIOS breaks SkyOC cache-ratio / cache-clock setting in SkyOC. It presets it to the highest ratio. Cry
2018 - RIP SkyOC.

Bad News from Intel

New Speculative Execution Side-Channel Vunerability (Variant 4)

Summary:

Security researchers identified two software analysis methods that, if used for malicious purposes, have the potential to improperly gather sensitive data from multiple types of computing devices with different vendors??processors and operating systems.

Intel is committed to product and customer security and to coordinated disclosure. We worked closely with other technology companies and several operating system and system software vendors, developing an industry-wide approach to mitigate these issues promptly.

Hello Hackerpcs,

Did you updated from a 2.0 bios or a 3.x bios?

I have the same board with the 2.02C bios which has a load line calibration (LLC) option for overclock. Does the 3.40 bios has this option?

Anyway, I updated the intel microcode of my 2.02C bios version with UBU, but it's just to know.

Thanks.

I was on latest stable BIOS, 3.30.
3.40 beta above does have have "CPU Load-Line Calibration" under OC Tweaker and I think 3.30 had it too.

Anyone tried out the latest 2.00 Beta released on 5/30/2018 for older motherboards? I'm looking at Z77.

Updated from v2.10 to v2.20 beta on Z77 Pro 3. I've noticed the following...

Fullscreen BIOS start screen image is gone. Get only a line across the screen. Seems ok now since turning on legacy USB support.
Power consumption is increased 2-3W at idle and more at load, not sure why. I am sure i have matched bios settings.
Spectre protection confirmed active.

I only see v2.0 beta for Z77 ITX. Did you find downloads on their website's support page?
