can screenshot this BIOS with f12.........
Tried 3066 and 3200, set voltage at 1.35, even loosened timings a bit but just hangs about a while and defaults to 2400. Failover set to 5.     happy nuff with 2933,  (   for now) and might have another dabble later.
Point noted about clearing CMOS prior to new CPU/APU. Makes sense.
Was going to use AIDA64 but only 30 day trial with some data blanked, so any freeware alternatives worth a look?  Found lots but hard to know what`s good and what`s not.

yeah my aida run out too

i just use cinebench to test ,its not as good for specific numbers but hey i do 5 runs take the best score and compare it to next set of timings and speed for the ram to see if it actually got better or worse

example being some tighter extreme profile timings for 3200 run better than fast 3333 and its more stable (circa 10 cinebench points better)

i am a big fan of 1usmus ryzen timing calculator though it makes things a lot quicker and i must say better than my own trial and error

Will have a go with cinebench as you suggest, Wardog said he just uses 3Dmark now because of the detrimental effects some of the other similar programmes can have. 3Dmark takes ages though.
Not heard of that 1usmus  calculator bfore, I will have a look at that too.
Thanks again !

here ya go

http://www.overclock.net/forum/13-amd-general/1640919-ryzen-dram-calculator-1-0-0-beta-overclocking-dram-am4.html

its quite simple to use takes about 20 mins to do

once again take piccies or print off the table then refer to them in bios to make settings

Take pic of ram setting in BIOS before I start, to use as the reference entry  in the calculator?

and does it need all boxes to have info, or could I say just use  basics, vcore, timings, Mhz speed, etc without the deeper level stuff?
Calculator does look good, but a bit daunting to begin with.....

its a walk in the park mate
there should st5ill be a video guide on that link

basically heres the deal

you download a program called thiaphoon burner run it and extract your actual rams timings and data
you enter this into the left hand coloum
then select the speed you WANT to run it at, this then can calculate timings specifically for your rams chips to enter into bios to suit ryzen more than the settings from xmp to suit intel

your choices are safe/fast/extreme

its the results after you click calculate from dram calculator you want to print or tak a phone piccie

then fly into bios and use the results

and yes im afraid you want to FIND ALL the bits in your bios to adjust as the ryzen timing calculator works on ALL settings matching its results

e.g. if you just enter the first 6 main ones then the chances of it working are slimmer by far and to be honest much less stable and zippier than some good settings like trfc  which is very very high as stock but can be reduced vastly for a good increase in system

Ah that helps!
I have dloaded Taiphonn Burner, loaded my Dram, and printed the results.
Also dloaded 1ismus, but was under impression I had to manually transfer all burner info on my ram over to the calculator.that is what stalled me.. some headers-descriptions don't match and did not want to enter wrong figure in any box.
I will just concentrate on what is needed in the left hand column, then select speed etc.
Quite a learning curve this last week or so!  So have to give the nod to you for your help!

PS just had a quick look round the big 5 sites.........UK  . and some serious off loading going on as you say!

yeah just scroll down thiaphoon to last xmp box
click show results in nanoseconds and thats the numbers you enter

i just watched mindblank (youtube)

clocking the bejesus out of a 2400g and his ram

3.9ghz/1550 mhz gpu/3466 ram

truely he loves the 2400g and how its the go to apu if your planning on a £100 gpu (1030gtx or rx550)

good news for guys facing stupid gpu prices trickled down due to crypto prices on higher end cards

some mad results around 10mins 30 seconds

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VfB5_pI8kU

towards the end of video hes astonished how the apu can give 80 frames at 3440 resolution Clap

Thanks for added info.
2400G is due anytime, so may wait until that is in  before having a go.......but will practice data entry anyway, to get used to it.
Mindblank vid  is amazing. really gets some results!
