just switched to gtx 760 and now i know what u mean...in bios is missing legacy/uefi switch in csm for gpu
but as for gtx 760 goes: disabled csm = uefi (nice shiny 1080p) enabled csm = legacy (fugly low res) legacy driver seems to be same as previous pic... uefi loads fine here ![]() |

This is interesting, maybe it has something to do with the fact that your cards have both uefi and legacy bios, mine all have legacy bios but the bios will not run csm for them...
I'll wait for a new update and check after Edited by cristy6100 - 28 Mar 2018 at 8:02am |

I took a look at the newest 4.61 BIOS for X370 Gaming X and found out that the settings are there, just removed from the setup screen / Boot / CSM menu entry...
Currently these are present in the menu: Handle Control Group 090F(Main Menu CSM) 0502 CSM 050A Launch PXE OpROM Policy 050C Launch Storage OpROM Policy What is missing is 050E Launch Video OpROM Policy They (ASRock) "just" need to re-add it back to the menu. Unfortunately I cannot add this string to the BIOS-Menu by myself else it would have worked right away.

Nice, thanks for clearing this up, I already reported this and all other bugs I found in a support ticket, and they got back and confirmed all bugs except one, for the Chassis Fan 1/Water pump speed, but I was able to re-create the RPM drop by switching the Control Mode from PWM Mode to DC Mode, it will give a RPM drop between 500-1600RPM depending on the connected fan speed, long story short all bugs I reported were confirmed.
You can find what I reported here on the forum a couple of pages back For the moment they gave no ETA on a new bios, but it should come in april, Asus already released BIOS'es with the new agesa code PinnaclePI 1.0.0.2 and new SMU firmware, so ASRock should come with new versions any moment now EDIT: Here they are: http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=8166&KW=&title=yet-another-uefi-bug-with-ab350-x370-itx-ac http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=8075&KW=&title=fatality-x370-itx-ac-bios-l451-very-buggy

Until a new bios is released that HOPEFULLY fixes these 2 problems there is no fix.
I for one cannot enable Fast Boot, I dont even have the menu option, only Ultra Fast, tried with CSM Disabled and Enabled, and if I enable Ultra Fast and Disable CSM it will not post same as you.

i dont use secure boot, so theres no way that my gpu would be blocked due to it.
anyway tryied to changed vbios from palit to asus, and theres no change for efi (efi bios seems to be same as on palit bios)
but i really like asus bios version much more, fan profile can go 0% and it raises slowly (1% increments) at 50C+ and slows down slowly when needed (no fan noise spikes) :) |

Don't worry about secure boot, it will never cause problems in Windows, I had problems with it on some servers when I updated from CentOS 6.5 towards 7 but that was way back in 2013-2014, on Windows systems I remember switching secure boot on and using GPT boot disks from the Windows 8 days.
Every system I configure I enable secure boot and disable CSM if video card allows it, it gives faster boot time on some system configurations. PS: edited my tantrums and grammar, sorry guys for it
