Interesting, thanks for sharing your fix meatofalltrades and djbello. It sounds
to me like either an ESD (static discharge) causing corruption in the RTC (real time clock) or possibly a mild short caused by touching solder points during assembly shunting a small current to the BIOS ROM to the same effect. Either way pulling the CMOS battery and clearing CMOS will always resolve RTC issues. |

Came here to post the fix when I had this issue. BIOS wasn't detecting keyboard or mouse inputs but was giving them power. Turned out I was using a bad M.2 NVMe and as soon as I removed that from the board I was able to get into the BIOS. I'm currently using a different m.2 NVMe in the same slot so it was definitely an issue with the drive, not the board.
