I assembled the below. When I power on the fans run for about 60 seconds, nothing is displayed on the monitor. Then after the 60 seconds the fans will stop and it will appear to reboot itself. The case does not have a system speaker so I have no way to know if an error code is coming out that way.

Disconnected everything except for CPU. System still reboots after ~60s 2. Disconnected RAM and SSD, left GPU installed. No change, blank screen. 3. Moved GPU to other PCI slot, no change. 4. Plugged in one RAM chip into A2 slot. No change. 5. Verified 8-pin CPU power was plugged in. n/c 6. Verified 20+4 pin ATX power connector was plugged in. n/c 8. Only connected 20 pin ATX power (manual suggested this was possible). n/c 9. Only connected 4 pin CPU power (manual again suggested this was possible). n/c 10. Cleared BIOS a few times. n/c I never built a AMD system before but built several Intel systems. Not really sure what to do now but think the MB is DoA.

o you have any other gpu to try? Seems you're doing everything correct. I also have the Asrock AB350M Pro4, our issue is different, just random constant freezes leaving a static image on the screen requiring a forced reboot / or shutdown, sometimes with no display following, and needing another reboot. There are a variety of issues across reddit and newegg on this board, I'd also recommend looking into PCI-E compatibility, as it's different with amd and nvidia gpus. But I can't see why even a 1030 would cause a problem, the issue may be elsewhere.
Lemme know how your issue progresses! Personally, I'm getting an ASUS b350 tuf matx board as I've seen people rma this with their crashing issues persist. |

Unfortunately I dont have another GPU available for testing. This is just a small custom system I am building for work and only ordered the one GT1030 because the software I am building it for needed something more powerful than a integrated GPU but nothing crazy.
I put in a support request to ASRock directly but it appears they are off until the 21st because of Chinese New Year.

I thought DDR4 was DDR4. So long as the motherboard could support the speed (and even if it couldn't then the RAM would just be under-clocked) it would be fine. At least that is how I remember things being with DDR3. I ordered a motherboard speaker over the weekend and just got in the office to test it out. I got 3 short beeps. According to https://ddr4motherboard.com/beepcodes/ASROCK-AB350M-PRO4 it is a "Basic memory 64K address check error" which I assume means the MB is DOA. Cleared the BIOS and still gave me 3 beeps.
