Love the Mobo but I had to go cheap on the build though. I fell in love with this MOBO. First one I liked since ABIT closed shop. Would like to upgrade it now to the to give her a little muscle. Thought I should start with the cpu so I can atleast get the Kingston Hyperx Memory timings up to 1800. Not sure what CPU to start with. PSU is great PC POWER and COOLING 750. Excellent rail amps. As you can see its not being over worked.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Yes, you can laugh at my regor.

Current sad state of this poor rig.

I figure new cpu first but not quite sure what to get . Wanted to try an FX but the bios issue limits choices so was maybe thinking of a top notch Phenom. Any input,,recommendations, jokes would be appreciated.   I haven't but a super rig in a few years and the new CPU's have me a little dazed and confused. I hear phenom is better that FX.  My last rig my my FX-55 had intel eating dust

I would go for a 95w Phenom II x6. It will be more compatible with the board than the FX CPUs and likely cause less heat issues.

Between everything going with this Chip set and AMD's driver problems....I am about ready to jimp to the dark side of intel.

Question? They actually took a phenom 6..retooled and made it an FX chip?
And of course it wont work my 890 GX Pro 3? LOL
