Huh? Say what?

On the website for your board HERE it states:

- Dual Channel DDR3 memory technology
- 4 x DDR3 DIMM slots
- Supports DDR3 2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory
- Max. capacity of system memory: 32GB*
- Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)

Now whether or not you get your CPU and mem to 2400 running DC at 2400 is another topic.

Id like to know if anyone used any other 2400< module without problems or if indeed this is the only one that can be used!

Excuse me but i dont understand why you copied the rest of the double post for something i already mentioned

I think he means does the board only support the one model of DDR3 2400 RAM.

The answer is a little complicated but in simple terms, no. The board will likely support a broader array of 2400 RAM but the support lists for motherboards are not often updated. It is far easier for RAM manufacturers to test their products on different boards than it is for a motherboard manufacturer to test with the huge variety of RAM available. Most RAM vendors have compatibility charts of their own for their various RAM models. I find that generally if the RAM product page lists one ASRock board of a particular chipset then any ASRock board of that chipset is likely also compatible provided the date of the latest BIOS update is similar.

As wardog pointed out there is also a beta BIOS that will add better compatibility for your board, this is good news as it will likely add support for even more memory models. If you are looking for 2400 RAM then check the RAM's product page for a compatibility list and check for either your particular board or other similar ASRock boards on it's list.

So,since i did check the RaM configurator of the manufacturer site im interested in and there is no listing for modules above 2000mhz i should not be looking into this any further?

Ok thanks,i though maybe i could be informed of some exception from a private ''eye'' thanks anyway!

Corsair shows some 2133 for this board.

Crucial, Kingston shows some 1866

VisionTEK, 1600

It's my opinion G.Skill's Ares and Sniper 2400 kits are very compatible with every system I've used them in. Including their 2400MHz stick. YMMV

Me ""Huh? Say what?"" , Sorry. Language barrier in reading your first post.
