Hey all, I've been collecting everything to build my first home server. Here is the parts list so far : ROMED8-2T AMD EPYC 7773x Samsung M393A8G40AB2-CWE 64GB 2Rx4 PC4-25600 ECC Registered Server Memory RAM X 4 Noctua - NH-U14S TR4-SP3 EVGA Super Nova 1600 T2 PSW I purchased the ROMED8-2T and EPYC7773x on ebay, and they arrived some time back with the CPU already in place, but I was waiting on other parts (cooler, power switch, ram etc). Yesterday, I hooked everything up, I get the PWR Standby LED on, but no BMC at all. Tried a different PSU, same result. I've since removed the Cooler, CPU and RAM, and still no BMC. I've been advised on another forum that the ROMED8-2T is more than likely faulty. But would like that confirmed. Various photos can be found here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/11Qft88TlwpxITYw5EjDdP802fD3E6SWF/view?usp=sharing Would appreciate any advice, or potential things to try. Cheers |

Bought mine through Amazon and found your post with google-dorks for similar issue (BMC page says "Updating Firmware" endlessly).
I have a message into support; no response yet though. On a side note, I have googled around a lot and I am starting to wonder if there was a bad batch of these mobos. I'm pretty perturbed considering I dropped north of 6k on kit for this server. |
