Hi guys
I had a big issue with the Asrock B650 Taichi with 2 ram modules of 32gb 6000mhz CL30 (64gb in total) and a 9800x3D - Only one memory module was being detected. I was going mental with the bloody thing. To cut a very long story short, what fixed the issue for me was aliviating the pressure of the cooler AIO on the CPU IGS by unscrewing the 4 bolts to aliviate the contact pressure. i started little by little unscrewing it until the point that the C5 error (after a long 15 error code wich i believe to be the memory training) was gone and booted into the BIOS and i could finally see both memory modules. You guys don't understand the time i have lost with this piece of crap but in the end im happy with the result. Cinebench tests shows 74C on my 9800x3D which i believe to be a good temperature on the CPU. How did i found this out?? One of the procedures i did was check if the motherboard pins had any bent and trying to resit the CPU on the socket. After that done, the key thing was i didn't put the AIO on top to test it again. I used a sh*tty air cooler i had laying around and i just put it on top of the cpu with no screwing at all. just put it on top, and when i turn on the PC, to my surprise the PC booted with both memories being detected. In conclusion, the only diferent thing from that air cooler and the AIO was the mounting pressure applied with the screws. Happy days. I trully hope this helps someone like it did for me. Have a good holiday guys. Regards, pwnlads |

Hello! Thanks for the infos. They are, definitely, going to help someone, someday. I ran into this C5 error too, but it was a different problem, in my case. I was using a rare breed of 2x32GB DDR5 ECC RAM from Nemix RAM. Trying to boot with 1 DIMM, resulted in error C5. Trying to boot with 2 DIMMs in slots A2+B2 or A1+B1, resulted in error C5. The weird thing is that by putting the 2 DIMMs in B1+B2 solved the issue, and I was able to boot normally in Single-Channel mode. In the end I've RMA'd the RAM kit & bought a non-ECC RAM kit from Kingston, that works like a charm. NOTE: The Nemix RAM memory kit wasn't on the QVL of my motherboard! |
