2000mhz isn't hard on phenoms pretty standard actually with 8XX series up motherboards heck was even doing 300 fsb with the 790FX days

970M pro3 will support 2400 ram out of the box with fx cpus

the op asked a question i gave the answer

the fact is nothing is ever going to be 100% between cpu/board and ram

the fact you got 2000mhz on a phenom is great

i have a system here that wont go to 1866 with 1866 ram and its not a low end board or psu either

(m5a97 pro)

and i very much doubt it would work out the box with an fx cpu at 2400

the fact is the op ALREADY is struggling with much lower speeds with his personal hardware and his ability to tweak things

if he has lower end ram than the job is much harder

for example im running my ryzen at 3466 cl 14/14/14/14

that dosnt mean everyone can be running ryzen systems at that speed and low timings

i got lucky A LOT OF OTHER SYSTEMS THE SAME ARE NOT

my kits are mem kits are 2200 but will not run over 2004mhz no matter the timing

OP could it be that the motherboard ram slot doesn't work which is causing the problem try to boot with 1 stick and try each slot.
