To all Italy buyers!
Do not buy a Asrock products; the don't have a real warranty, If your reseller don't repair or substitute your product there is not a real Asrock rapresentative in Italy! Asrock use a legal office, Prima Business - Via Collatina 281, 00155 Roma - Piva 10285731005 that is only a legal office without any assistance/support. The only is a game of Chinese boxes! Asrock = no warranty (in Italy)

For the first year, doesn't EU law work like UK law, in the fact that it's the retailers legal responsibility to deal with any faults?
If it goes faulty within the first year of purchase, the retailer has to deal with shipping back to the OEM, or getting it repaired at a qualified and OEM accepted repair service. Typically a retailer will just refund or replace, at the customers choice, within 30 days. However after, this period, it is the retailers discretion to refund, repair or replace, and they don't want to be out of pocket, so tend to repair or replace wherever possible. This can lead to run-around horror stories where the retailer just passes the back, but it is their legal responsibility to deal with the issue and resolve it in one of the three options they have. After 12 months have elapsed from the date of purchase, the retailer no longer has any responsibility unless they specifically state that they do. Any warranty after 12 months is between the customer and the manufacturer. Return shipping of a faulty item to the manufacturer can be cost prohibitive, and in many cases it is not that much more the cost of shipping to buy another (or one from another brand). Personally, I think a stated and printed on the outer retail box warranty over the first year should still allow the customer to go back to the retailer, and let them deal with it. They sold it knowing what it said on the retail box, and what was advertised. This would stop manufacturers putting long warranties on their products with no real intention of ever picking up the problem as they want the faulty item shipped back to Asia. If the retailer had a legal obligation to deal with the issue, they are going to get their shipping costs back from the manufacturer. If not, they can withhold payment for their last shipment of new goods to sell. OK, so, back to the OP, it looks like for Italy there is only a basic office, that likely isn't the returns address. Why not contact ASRock and ask for clarification? |
