CPU is a 5820K, and I actually have 2 to test with and it seems to happen with both.

I'm running stock bios settings, only change is bumping the cpu fan to full speed, and turning raid on.

I'm getting a 40c+ idle temp even when the voltage drops to 0.725.

I've got a corsair H100i GTX and I've been through remounting it a couple times. I had it working correctly at one point yesterday, but then in an attempt to over clock it I must have tripped some setting in bios that isn't properly resetting.

I was testing last night with beta bios 3.3, but when I couldn't solve the temp issue I rolled back to 3.2.

What is your temp in windows using HWiNFO,...not real temp or core temp?!

My 6700 in UEFI indicates >50 Celsius, but indicates 28 Celsius in windows.

These are temps from in windows.

I've got the intel XTU, corsair link 4, HWInfo, and OCCT they all report similar temps.

This isn't my first rodeo for overclocking. I've overclocked just about everything made since the original pentium.

As you are aware then 40c is too high for idle temps,...depending on ambient. Check ALL your fan orientations on your GTX and case as you've already remounted a couple times. And of course if you have a B BIOS,...try that too.

Multiple monitoring software running at the same will give erroneous results.

Stopping ALL but the Corsair monitoring, seeings it must run at startup, what temps are reported.?
