Hi, nice to meet you all!
I'm building my ITX gaming rig, and I have a plan to install an SSD swap bay, but instead of being limited to just SATA, I want to use the Ultra M.2/U.2 slot located at the back. Can anyone confirm if it's fully compatible with U.2 adapters? Out-of-box, no BIOS update needed? I expect to be able to reach the 4GB/s limit... Also, Is the SFF-8639/U.2 connector (at the end) retro-compatible with the normal SATA connector, for the drives? Will be able to install a normal SATA drive, atm, instead of only SAS/U2 drives? (yeah, I know I'll need special adapters/cables/hardware for that....) Thanks for the support. |
