Can I run the latest bios on my pc with a Ryzen 5 1600x, I am coming here to ask because I would like to get the latest updates to keep my CPU and mother board upto date because i wanna upgrade cpu eventually but also take advantage of new preformance.

Any BIOS released after the Ryzen 3000 series won't provide any performance increase
for first gen CPUs. Typically, if you are not experiencing any issues, it's not advisable to update. That said, the latest updates will still work with first gen CPUs. It's just a risk (bad flashes happen) I wouldn't want to take unless I were upgrading my CPU. |
