How do i find out what dimm is A2/B2 for dual channel? manual wasnt much help for my asrock b450m steel legend.

It's pretty confusing woulda helped more with actual picture reference, also is there some program that can let you see which one is labeled what?
I've read it's going from left to right it's the 2nd and 4th slot, but id like manual to have actual picture reference and maybe see with a program also. maybe even labeled on the motherboard itself also. |

Not sure what board you are using but this applies to ALL ASRock manuals so here:
https://download.asrock.com/Manual/B450%20Steel%20Legend.pdf Page 7 (full board diagram with labels) Page 22 (recommended slots for various RAM combinations) Pages may vary but every manual has this. General rule though, second slot from the CPU and fourth slot are A2 and B2 on just about every 4 slot board. I hope this helps clarify. Edited by Xaltar - 12 Mar 2020 at 4:55pm |

This is also true but on some boards it's almost impossible to read like on my x370 Gaming K4 and my X399 Phantom Gaming 6. The text is dark grey on black. In a pinch, at an extreme angle you can read it because the text is raised. |
