I was waiting for IcyBox Adapter + Windows 7 for check firmware. But in the Adapter this Crucial Software do not works.
In Win7 i could see the Firmware of Crucial. P3CR013 What i wanted to do? (I use Mint 19.x) I was waiting for Linux Mint 20 (beta). Than i will make a great NEW INSTALL. Alone. on the Crucial P1. Because 100% compatible! -.- So, now just the P1 SSD is alone and Linux Mint 20 will installed. REBOOT FREEZE on boot. EFI-BIOS can not open. Just a black screen! :-o I have seen this kind of problem never been before. What can i do? |

That was my first and my last device from ASRock.
Support is here not the main business. I still believe that this behavior is kind a firmware problem. and it's not in any case static reproduceable for everyone. Let's asume that this board has no BIOS. Can we say then the CPU is broken? Do you think this design would be a good solution for placing it this way to the market ? Sorry guys, but that is really unc00l to move these issues away to other components. You are responsible for all these component's beeing useable in your board and that they will be correctly recognized at boot time. Otherwise no one would buy such crap. Best way in this case is now to disasemble BOARD, CPU, RAM, Wifi and SSD and spend it mostly bidding on ebay |

Hi,
just updated my A300 Bios to 3.70 but the problem is not solved. Sometimes on reboot the system hangs and I can't enter the bios anymore. Changing the P1 slot between top/bottom location on the board does not help. So happy disconnecting board battery and clearing CMOS with jumper CLRCMOS1 for some seconds makes me work again. My A300 System consists of - WIN10 pro - AMD Ryzen 3 3200G - Crucial P1 M.2 2280 1TB with latest firmware (on compatibility list) - SANDISK SSD PLUS 1TB (NOT on compatibility list) - M.2 2230 WiFi+BT Module Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz (compatible ?) - HyperX 16GB 2933MHz DDR4 CL17 (NOT on compatibility list) HEY Crucial support, what's wrong with my system ? What else can I do / any workaround ? -- regards roadi |

Hi,
last check: - update BIOS to 3.70 Beta - disconnect SANDISK SSD PLUS - disconnect INTEL WiFi module - change RAM from Slot 1-->2 - change CPU fan from connector 1-->2 --> only 16GB RAM and that Crucial P1 NVME Reboot ... ... dead - Power off ... - CLRCMOS1 short for 5 seconds Power on ... works I can work with my WIN10 - CrucialP1(latest firmware) is OK BUT on EVERY reboot my A300 hang's (no way to get into BIOS) Also Keyboard NUM LOCK LED freezes So I have todo an CLRMOS1 reset for every new session |

Dear Roadi,
Thank you for the posting. Today we took the Deskmini A300, BIOS P3.70 and SSD Crucial P1 to test, but didn't reproduce the issue. In our lab, the system can boot into OS and BIOS setup normally. For your system, we would like to provide some suggestions for you to verify. 1. Press "F9" under BIOS setup to load default setting to verify. 2. If possible, please use other SSD to cross test. Thank you, Best wishes, ASRock TSD |

Hi ASRock Team,
thanks for your reply. I also checked out BIOS default's but that doesn't help. And the nvme works proper in other systems. -- regards roadi |
