Hi!
So I build this system: Be Quiet Silent Base Orange Pro Rev 2 Be Quiet Straight 11 850W Platinum X570 Creator 3950X Corsair i115 Water-cooling 128 GB RAM (3x32 Corsair) Powercolor RX 5700 XT Red Devil Corsair m2 Nvme 500GB (Windows 10 Pro 64) Everything works except for THUNDERBOLT which is why I paid for this pricey motherboard! I try to connect a Pegasus R6 Array through a Startech Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt Adapter. Both the Pegasus R6 and the Startech work with no issues on other machines but won't be detected by this system. The Thunderbolt Software simply won't detect any Thunderbolt device attached (See screen captures) https://ibb.co/C1Nv9Nv https://ibb.co/6wrrGQy https://ibb.co/B20gnP2 https://ibb.co/vwy68j5 I updated the motherboard's BIOS to the latest version Downloaded and installed the latest Thunderbolt drivers from ASROCK website The Pegasus Driver is up to date Every single driver is up to date The X570 Creator's Thunderbolt port WILL detect any USB-C disk drive attached but no Thunderbolt device. I tried to boot with the Pegasus device attached with no success, I tried to boot without the Pegasus device attached and connect it afterwards, no success either. I bought a PCI-E card to put the m2 nvme drive on it to boot off it and free the motherboard's m2 port, it doesn't change anything. The PCI 6 port is free. Please help me find a solution! |

These steps made it work for my setup:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/eqkytt/x570_creator_thunderbolt_not_recognizing_devices/fevgi9l/ - Update BIOS (like you've already done) - Disable the security thingy from BIOS: Advanced --> AMD PBS --> Security ---- "No Security"(or similar) - Update with latest driver from Lenovo. I used the driver from Lenovo as mentioned in the reddit thread (https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds504013), since the drivers on the x570 download page were outdated. There's been added a DCH-version of the driver on the x570 page since i set it up, dunno if that's the latest version though: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X570%20Creator/index.asp#Download (Intel Thunderbolt DCH driver ver:1.41.987.0 ). |

Hey there,
You need to connect a display port from the MOBO to the GPU. Then the TB3 will work. try test out with the connection linked and it should work! DP cable - from Motherboard/to Graphics card. Then should detect automatically. Thanks |
