Hello,
I have ryzen 5 1600 cpu and asrock B450M pro4 Motherboard. Current version 4.90 ASRock Saying ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if you are going to use Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU on your system. *Before updating this BIOS, please also read the description in previous BIOS version Which version do you think is the best for my cpu . Which version should I turn to I have a problem other than that. I cannot run rams dual and slot 3 in 4. Pins checked, bios reset, ram slots and ram cleared but still the same problem persists. Could my bios version cause this? My current version is 4.90. |

there are two different versions of the r5 1600
the first launch from 2017 called the AE (this is in the code on box and cpu) or the much later r51600 AF (the af is manufactured as a late run r5 2600 and programmed to boost the same as the original 1600ae, but has much much better memory controller and boost response) asrock seem to want owners of the 1600af to use the much later bios circa ryzen 3xxx time which of course contradicts the warning to use early bios what cpu code does yours have? |
