I have a Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SN550 NVMe Internal SSD - Gen3 x4 PCIe 8Gb/s, M.2 2280, 3D NAND, Up to 2,400 MB/s - WDS100T2B0C installed on my ASRock Z590 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB4 - Motherboard - Mini-ITX - LGA1200-Sockel - Z590

I don?™t understand with today?™s technology why my M.2 SSD isn?™t showing or compatible with this motherboard?? Help

I had to go into uefi and select the nvme and format the drive. If you cannot format in uefi then go into windows (assuming you have windows) and settings>system>recovery and format it just before your about to reinstall windows... (and afterwards of course back out and don't reinstall windows) then when back in windows, go to disk management and assign a drive letter to your new nvme drive. You may need to do a quick format again from within Disk Management. The drive should be visible in File Explorer now.
I hope this helps.

So tell how this makes sense... I put the Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SN550 NVMe Internal SSD into the m.2 slot in the back of the motherboard and it works but the one in the front doesn't?

according to specification on their website....unless you have an 11 gen core processor, the Hyper m.2 wont work. only the ultra m.2 slots will work.

HEllo,

is there any reason the WD Blue SN550 wouldnt work in a H510 Pro BTC+?

Just says no SSD detected in the BIOS. When I boot to WIN10 USB WIN10 obviously cant see it either.

Apologies for hijack

Hi TheBrow,

Thank you for your post.

To get the maximum number of graphic cards, this motherboard uses all of the PCIe lanes for the PCIe slots.

So the M.2 slot on H510 Pro BTC+ can only support M.2 SATA Type SSD.

All the best
