I have a B450 Gaming K4 Motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor. I have a 120 GB Inland Professional SSD. I have had this system since 2019 and have just now run into this problem.

When plugged into SATA_1-4, my ACHI SATA SSD is detected in my BIOS, but I get stuck at the ?śreboot and select proper boot device??screen.

When plugged into SATA_A1 or SATA_A2, my ACHI SATA SSD is not detected in my BIOS at all.

I also have a SATA HDD plugged into my motherboard. When the HDD is plugged into SATA_1-4, my computer blue screens upon start up. When plugged into SATA_A1 or SATA_A2, it does not do this, so I know that the SATA_A1 and SATA_A2 ports are not completely faulty.

I had the SSD plugged into SATA_A2 for years and it has only now stopped being detected when in that port.

How do I get SATA_1-4 to allow my SSD to boot up when plugged into them? Or, how do I get SATA_A1-A2 to detected the SSD again?

When I had bootup problems late last year it turned out to be a simple cure - CMOS battery was cream-crackered (knackered)!
Popped in a new battery and problem dissappeared.

Just tried this, unfortunately not the fix I needed.
