Board model: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax
BIOS version: L2.61
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 32GB Dual-Kit DDR4-3200 CL16 (KF432C16BB1K2/32)

Hello all,
I bought an ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax motherboard but unfortunately I can't get the RAM up to 3200MHz.
I have already installed the latest bios update (L2.61) and the current chipset via the AMD website. In the bios the DRAM frequency is set to Auto with "only" DDR4-2400. I tried to set the frequency to 3200 but as soon as I save the change and restart the PC I get a black screen. I had to reset the Bios via the CMOS jumper. I then tried to activate XMP Profile 1 (3200MHz) but here exactly the same. Only XMP Profile 2 (3000MHz) has worked so far.

I'm not a hardware expert but if the memory package says 3200, the motherboard supports 3200 and the CPU can handle 3200, why do I have only 2400 in the bios and can't set it to 3200 without getting a black screen?
I just read on the Kingston website that 2400 is the default (JEDEC) value. Does that mean that 3200 is only possible via overclocking? I assumed that 3200 is the default frequency and everything above that is overclocking. Somehow I feel just fooled...

I do not know anything about overclocking. I don't know if I should settle for 2400 now or if there is still an easy and low risk way to set the RAM to 3200. Is there a big difference between 2400 and 3200 when gaming?

I took pictures of the bios but I still have the default settings for the most part.
