datonyb commented that XMP is for Intel memory.  If the memory is FlareX (AMD) is this still true?  Do I need to adjust the settings? Here is the Thaiphoon screenshot:

Thanks and enjoy, John.

i would say yes john (to the question of tweaking) allthough it is supposed to be optimised for ryzen it dosnt seem to do a great job ,merely maybe a good or better job

based on most of what i read from actual owners

parsec has some he had to tweak to get running at 3200 i believe

Thanks much, datonyb.  I will continue running SPD for now and may wait for a later BIOS/AGESA.  This memory is supposed to be optimized for Threadripper.  Thanks and enjoy, John.

john may i suggest

at least try the xmp rather than spd 2400

leave system on overnight with hci memtest or similar

if its stable then go ahead and trust the xmp to remian stable

you sticks are the 8gb each ?
then they are 100% the top binned samsung b dies

(p.s. the xmp timings look exactly like the pre tr ryzen flarex to me)

i think they just matched 4 sticks of flarex to make that tr kit myself

Never one to ignore datonyb's advice, I am running XMP 2.0 now.  Screenshot of AIDA64 memory and cache benchmark:

Thanks, JUANNY and datony.  Enjoy, John.

EDIT: datonyb, sticks are 8GB and single rank - main reason I bought them!
